Our lab is interested in improving the electrochemical performance of carbon fiber electrodes. The surface characteristics of the carbon greatly impact electrochemical performance, therefore it is vital that we understand changes occurring at the surface as potential is applied. Raman spectroscopy is a useful tool for this, as well as for evaluating new electrode materials to gain insight into performance enhancement.
